We maintain the expertise and knowledge of the latest in professional telecommunications systems. Whether your needs range from the small single line systems to large multi line phone systems. Installing Cabling and HardwareThe voice cables are to terminate at the distribution point ( MDF or IDF) using standard Telco 66-type termination blocks, 110-type termination blocks or approved equivalent. Each side of each block can support the termination of up to six (6) station cables. When IDF's are used for voice cabling between the MDF and IDF's, the feeder or distribution cable will not be less than a 25 pair cable. Each station cable will be contained on a single side of each block (pair 25 is not to be used). The blocks will be clearly labeled with the same number and or letter designation as used on the station jack. The block termination will be wired to Telecommunication Industry Standards. 10 Base-T Cabling10 Base-T connections require Category 3 or higher UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable. The cable should at least have two pairs of twisted insulated copper conductors bound in a single plastic sheath. One pair of wires is used for transmission; the other pair is used for collision detection and receive. Make sure also that the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) or Electronic Testing Laboratories ( ETL) have already certified the cable. Cable SpecificationsElectrical requirements of the Category 3 cable are given in the table below.
